SOURDOUGH BREAD

In 2019, my husband and I baked our first bread at home and became interested in the theory of “wild” sourdough.

Today we have our own bakery and are ready to share our observations with you.

Our bread is unique because it is made with natural sourdough, which is a living symbol of our bakery. As a result, the bread has a rich flavor and is healthier than bread baked with baker’s yeast or from ready-made mixes.

We take care of your health

🧐 We have completely forgotten that bread is the product of fermentation, not baking. And we are so used to industrial bread that we don’t notice the switch. But all is not lost!

🍞 Long-term fermentation of the dough makes the bread not only tasty, but also healthy.

🍞 In fact, sourdough work is the work of a whole factory of bacteria that produce enzymes that help “extract” minerals and vitamins from the flour.

🍞 As a result of fermentation, the bioavailability of most vitamins, micronutrients and macronutrients increases, and thus the nutritional value of the bread. (Please do not confuse this with calories.)

🍞 Such bread is better absorbed and provides the body with useful nutrients.

🍞 Bread with wild yeast in symbiosis with LAB (lactic acid bacteria) has an excellent effect in rebuilding the intestinal microflora, as well as its integrity. (Do the “beet test” to see if your intestines are “whole” or “leaky.”)

🍞 In turn, the intestinal microflora directly affects our immunity because ⅔ of the immune system is located in the gut. We have the ability to improve health and restore normal hormone levels.

🍞 Whole-grain bread is rich in fiber. And it’s a toothbrush for our intestines. If you suffer from constipation, you simply forget about it. The bowel cleansing process becomes normal and natural. (A bowel movement occurs at least once a day.)

🍞 Sourdough bread is suitable for people with diabetes. The bacteria present in sourdough bread “eat” the starch (carbohydrates) found in the flour. The result is a product with a low glycemic index (GI), which has a positive effect on blood sugar (glucose) levels.

🍞 And, of course, sourdough bread is ideal for people who care about their figure and lead a healthy lifestyle.
